What is the difference between Gold Filled and Gold Plating?
Gold filled jewelry is legally required to be 5% solid gold by weight—about 100× more gold than plating. Its thick, bonded layer looks and wears like solid gold and is made for long-term, everyday use.
Gold plated jewelry is unregulated; the gold layer is very thin, can rub off, and often flakes or tarnishes, especially with heat, water, or frequent wear.
My pieces use high-quality 14k gold filled material. This ensures your special jewelry keepsake will last and be with you forever.

How do I care for my jewelry?
Try to protect any jewelry from scratches, sharp blows, harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures and sunlight. As with all jewelry it can be scratched and dented from wear and tear.
Store jewelry separately so it doesn't scratch other jewelry.
When doing household tasks such as cleaning be certain to remove rings.
Put your jewelry on after washing and applying any makeup/hair products.
Never wear jewelry while swimming in a swimming pool. The chlorine can cause damage to various metals.
Avoid contact with water, perfumes, lotions, and anything oil-based as these can tarnish the metal.
If the metal and engraving become dull you can polish the jewelry with an anti-tarnish cloth such as a Sunshine Polishing Cloth.
Do you sell your products any where else?
Yes I also have an Etsy store StarMapJewelry where you can see additional reviews.
Why use a Stainless Steel necklace chain?
Stainless steel necklace chains are hypoallergenic, water-resistant, durable, and non-tarnishing. They are also cheaper. However you can choose a sterling silver chain if you prefer that.
